Less Than Lethal

Unlike most weapons, Less Than Lethal (or "LTL" for short) are Enforcer only weapons that cause little health damage to the target. Instead, they cause stamina damage, which temporarily incapacitates (stuns) the target when it reaches zero. During that time, an enforcer can arrest the target. After being arrested, the Criminal cannot move and will respawn if he is not freed by a teammate.

LTL weapons are inferior in one-on-one combat situations, but can be very effective when used tactically (flanking, positioning, etc.). The money and contact standing rewards for stunning and arresting a criminal are around 3-4 times higher than for a lethal kill. Additionally, LTL weapons can cause massive rage for the Criminal being stunned, who needs to wait longer than if he was killed.

Lethal weapons and grenades also cause stamina damage. Players who get hit with an LTL and do not receive the final "stun blow" can therefore for a short time be stunned by any other weapon, aside from the N-HVR 762 or weapons of high damage. For example a Percussion Grenade and one shot from the Stabba - PIG will immediately stun an enemy.
