Outside of the skill required to use it effectively, there is very little draw back to this weapon and it even maintains its accuracy much better than most guns during sustained fire, especially while on the move. Lack of range is its biggest downfall and once the combat stretches out to anything outside of the boundaries at close-to-mid-range this weapon becomes ineffective very quickly. It is highly suggested to use this weapon for close range combat, but for most players, as the distance reaches anything farther than 30 meters, switch to a secondary Obeya FBW or a Joker RFP-9 (for players on a budget) to increase your range. Secondary weapons such as ACT 44's or Colby RSA's also make effective choices when equipped with an OCA.
Although it is a very popular weapon, the OCA has been met with increasing criticism from players, stating that it is a not very difficult weapon to use and it is advised that players "switch to a real gun". It is very easy to spray wildly with the weapon and get a kill, thus not helping its image among the player base. It is not without its own aforementioned flaws, though.
Most non-OCA users are concerned with how to outmatch this weapon. First of all, the sound of an OCA is so distinctive, that anybody that hears it will in their right mind run away from it. At the rate bullets fly at the opponent, there's really no way to outmatch it when your back is turned on it. The best thing you can do is fight the weapon on unfair grounds, such as near a corner with a machine gun where you can use the wall for cover while firing at the opponent at the same time. Another technique is point blank range with an assault rifle, but make sure your shots are completely spot-on. One missed bullet counts as two less OCA bullets required to send you to your death.
It closely resembles the real life H&K MP5K.
